This App is designed to entertain and distract children before bedtime, and capture their dreams through their imagination. Its only in its initial stages and still needs a lot of work to be refined and improved to a higher more interactive standard.

By addressing the issue of vanity in the western culture, this then led me to believe you could draw in an audience through the means of their own reflection. If faced with your own reflection you would naturally be intrigued, and therefore interested in the installation.

Your face would then morph into that of an individual, lacking the opportunity for an education. A rotation would occur as the profile seen on screen is selected at random, so each user would face one of these many profiles.

Within the grounds of the tube station, this instillation will put into perspective the life of each woman who views it.

The screen will form a barrier between the two women, one is stuck in an illiterate world and the other is prospering in an advanced society.

The train track stimulates the idea of an obstruction. The only viable way that you can reach out and help, is through Plan’s organization. This suggests just like the screen, the train track is a barrier unless you become actively involved.

These are the communications that surround Ruth’s exhibition Including Invites, brochure in an accordion fold layout and promotional poster produced using screen printing.

For the Worlding and Grammars brief of BA7 I did a collaboration with a Fine Art student Ruth Carpenter her work covers dereliction behind buildings so we visited Hales Mental Institute that has been derelict for over 20 years.
